Scenario of TV Commercials, January 2018
In January, 29 television channels aired more than 255,000 minutes of commercials. More than 750 brands of over 350 companies kept their presence on screen at the time, which is slightly lower compared to the previous month. With more than 72,000 minutes of commercials to promote its 24 brands, Unilever surpassed all other companies by a huge margin and secured the top position among companies like previous month. Fair and Lovely, the top brand of the month, appeared on screen more than 31,000 times for over 11,700 minutes. The top five brands of the month, Fair and Lovely, Robi, Grameenphone, Lux Soap, and Horlicks consumed around 19 % of the total TVC airtime in January.
