In December 2019, more than 85 companies run commercials in Radio Media. 16 Radio Stations broadcast almost 36,400 minutes of Radio Commercials or RDCs while promoting almost 175 brands during the month of December. Pran-RFL Group aired almost 3,900 minutes of RDCs while advertising 64 of its brands, which was the highest RDC duration among individual companies. At the same time, the company contributed almost 11 % of the total duration of Radio Commercials. Unilever remained Pran-RFL’s nearest competitor in airing Radio commercials with around 3,860 minutes of RDCs. Berger Paints Bangladesh became the third most active advertiser by airing more than 3,200 minutes of commercials. Grameenphone and Walton Group were the fourth and fifth top advertisers in Radio with around 2,830 minutes and 2,400 minutes of RDCs respectively. ABC Radio broadcast highest RDCs followed by Radio Today, Radio Bhumi , Dhaka FM, Radio Aamar, and Jago FM. Top five brands consumed more than 30 % of the total RDC duration. Berger Paints, Grameenphone, Vaseline Lotion, Vaseline Petroleum Jelly and Bangladesh became the most advertised brands in Radio Media during December. The daily average duration of Radio Commercials was 1,213 minutes. On average, RDCs with 20-second duration were aired highest in December while 9 pm- 10 pm was the favorite time slot for advertisers.
